I love DVTV! I started checking there about three months ago. The reason why you haven't seen me vlog there is due to no webcam hooked up yet.

One thing I enjoy with DVTV is less infighting and bickering. There appears to be more mutual respect. Many thought-provoking discussions are carried out peacefully.

Hi Mishkazena,
Hope you will get your webcam back in the future and we need you to come back if you can.
Thanks,

How long will you take before you get a webcam? We have been hearing the same excuse for months and probably years.

It is time for you to go and get a webcam. If the Deaf community is important to you, get a webcam. I don't think you are that uneducated or poor to get one.

Thanks!

I have nothing against DVTV although I personally don't like the poor video quality and sometimes jerky video. But my biggest problem is that it takes too much time to watch all the comments and sometimes I don't know what the video is supposed to be about to begin with because of poor titling so don't bother with them. I like the idea of being able to sign with each other but it does take a lot of time to watch all video responses. Much quicker for me to quickly scan what people write in comments to see if they are saying something I might want to respond to.

I prefer a blog to a vlog or DCTV. I want hearing people TO READ what bloggers write about. I rarely watch vlogs even if with CC. For example, I don't care for DonG's vlog. He neglects to transcribe FULLY what he says in his CCed vlog. Hearing people think that deaf people are good at ASL, but they do not know what deaf people's English is like. So let the hearing world see deaf people's fluidity in both ENGLISH and ASL. That is what Deaf Bilingual Coalition is fighting for!
